Project overview
A family bathroom finished in 600 × 1200 marble-look porcelain, with the vein direction carried continuously from wall to wall.
Large-format tile shows every imperfection in the wall behind it. Before fixing, each wall was checked with a straightedge and high spots ground back.
Panels were dry-laid on the floor first to plan the vein sequence, so the pattern reads naturally from the doorway.
How the work is done
Every stage is checked before the next begins — the finish is only as good as the work underneath it.
Checked every wall with a 2 m straightedge and corrected high and low spots before any adhesive was mixed.
Laid the panels out to plan the vein flow, numbering each tile so the pattern carries across corners.
Used a 12 mm trowel with back-buttering for full contact and a levelling system to control lippage.
Fitted aluminium trims to exposed edges and grouted with a colour-matched cement grout.
